The island of Ibiza celebrates yet another year as a leader in the nightlife scene. The International Nightlife Association has recognized Hï Ibiza as the World’s Best Club of 2018 and Ushuaïa Ibiza claims the second place after being number one in the last edition.

Opening its doors in the summer of 2017, Hï Ibiza presented itself to the world as Ibiza’s new nightlife temple, creating high expectations among electronic music fans. However, the world’s most demanding clubbers all knew that Space Ibiza had set the bar very high and any new proposal would have to surpass it in order not to disappoint fans. Yet after just one season, Hï Ibiza was able to prove itself! With over 150 events and 750,000 people attending the nightclub during only its first summer, it was able to make the cut for the World’s Best Clubs list, ranking in as number 15.

By its second season, Hï Ibiza had already become a must for clubbers. Those who cried over the loss of a legend, soon celebrated the reincarnation of one of the most mythic electronic music venues, where even now we can still find all the masterminds of EDM, trance, disco, deep house and techno, such as Armin van Buuren, Eric Prydz, Glitterbox and Black Coffee.

A better design, a better show, better sound, better resident DJs and a myriad of details to place clubbers at the centre of the experience. Innovation, vanguardism and, more than anything, commitment were key factors in the success of Hï Ibiza and its recognition as the World’s Best Club of 2018.

In the 2018 edition, a total of 37 countries were placed in the top 100, with Spain holding the greatest number of awarded establishments, up to 22 clubs that display electronic culture in our country and that also show the potential of the Spanish nightlife industry on an international level. Palladium Hotel Group’s Director of Institutional Relations, José Luis Benítez, picked up the prize on November 14th in Bogota, where the International Nightlife Congress and the ExpoBar Fair, the most important nightlife event in Colombia, were also celebrated. Experts from around the world came together to speak about the latest nightlife industry trends in the most influential cities around the globe, such as Ibiza, Dubai, New York and Barcelona.
