Mercedes-Benz FashionWeek brings together the fashion world’s key figures for yet another year at a unique event to discover and behold the collections of some of the most cutting-edge designers out there. This event also boasts a line-up at Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel including a plethora of unique draws.
We will hear from con Nuria Sardá, premiering Andrés Sardá’s cruise liner collection, who has revealed that his whole 2018 collection is based on the Balearic Islands, but at Ushuaïa the works will be solely based on Ibiza. We also get the chance to learn how the design of this collection has progressed, transforming from day to night, in the same way that a women dresses differently for the daytime and night-time. Along these lines, the fabrics of this collection don’t change, but the items vary in their colour and the way they are presented, adapting to suit each time of day. They start with a marine type of design, progressing towards white items and bold colours, and then on to nightfall, boasting Swarovski crystals. Sardá’s collection and walk ends by featuring the special collaboration with Ushuaïa Ibiza, displaying three unique pieces including a bikini with Swarovski crystals arranged in a gradient with the crystal-clad bikini top to match, and two pieces accompanying the design, including a limited-edition number that you can pick up at Ushuaïa Stores. Nuria Sardá tells us a little about this collaboration, noting that “Ushuaïa and Ibiza are unique in the world, they have the ability to attract a highly diverse audience that is unified by a common bond; they are poles of attraction. These items designed exclusively for Ushuaïa Ibiza include much of the dream to dare to live and seize the moment, which the brand and the island represent”.
